Timeline:
October 1-3 - Prompts only. This will be everyone’s chance to get the ideas they’d like to see filled for this ship and create a backlog of options to be potentially filled. Prompts will still be accepted after this date.
October 4 - Fills open.
October 28 - Prompts close to allow an opportunity for the remaining days to be fill-focused.
October 31 - Last day for fills, will close at midnight.
The event will be run entirely on Eastern Standard Time. (Check what time it is here.)
Guidelines:
- The prompt-a-thon is focused on the relationship between Kylo Ren/Ben Solo and Poe Dameron. Threesomes and moresome ships including them are welcome, as are alternate ships involving each character, but should be appropriately noted as such and the focus of the fanwork should be driven by Kylo/Ben and Poe's relationship whether or not it is ultimately romantic.
- ...That said, Adam/Oscar RPF is also allowed.
- Crossovers and AUs are allowed.
- All fanwork types are welcome as fills — fic, art, fanmixes, graphics and edits, etc.
- There are no minimum requirements for wordcount or sketches, nor any completion requirements to start posting a fill. Go for it!
- Multiple fills of the same prompts are both welcome and encouraged. Don't avoid filling something that appeals to you just because someone's started filling it! The more the merrier.
- At the same time, don't feel like you have to get to everything. Some prompts may not get filled, so prompt as many as you like.
- Common triggers and upsetting material should be warned and tagged for, both in prompts and in fills, and easily visible prior to the content which is being warned for. (ie, character death, rape/noncon/dubcon, underage sex, explicit violence, waterworks, RPF, etc.)
- Sexually graphic/explicit depictions of rape aren't allowed. You can still explore dark themes and matters pertaining to non-consensual sexual situations, but eroticized rape scenes are not permitted.
- Sexually explicit pictures/graphics of any kind including underage characters is a no-go, period.
- Avoid prompting based on real life tragedies and injustices.
How to Prompt:
- Please format all prompts with the header “PROMPT - [short description of the content you’ll be requesting]”
- Any pertinent warnings should be the first line of your prompt, then you may line break and continue with your prompt.
- Post one prompt per comment
- You may make as many prompts as you like
- Prompts may be made either anonymously or under your own username
- Prompts may be specific or general, whether it's a specific story idea, a theme, a kink, an idea, or even just a poem or song lyrics you think would be inspiring.
How to Fill:
- Please format all fills with the header "FILL - [title]"
- Again, any kind of fanwork is welcome. Please format your fill as a reply to the prompt to which you’re responding. Pertinent warnings should be near the top and easily visible before the content of your fill.
- You may provide the body of your fill either immediately in the content of the post, or as a link to a site like AO3 or tumblr. (However, given the nature of easily-broken URLs on tumblr, you may want to consider crossposting on both sites, so that people perusing the prompt-a-thon in the future can easily locate your work.)
- Fills posted to AO3 can be added to the kppromptathon collection.
The prompt-a-thon will be available HERE.
